  • Thoughts On Freelancing

    January of 2009 is almost over. Just a couple of days now and its already February. Time passes by so quickly, I had a lot of projects in line in beginning of the month and I’ve been working hard on them the past couple of weeks.

    I worked with my partner with one of the freelancing projects and we submitted the two projects on time twice already.I’m very happy about that because I think not meeting deadlines just shows one to be unreliable. Delivering on time is a good reputation to build as a freelancer. Now we are just waiting to be paid for our services.

  • Overcoming My Cabin Fever

    Working at home has a lot of benefits, for me it is mainly that I don’t have to commute. But it also has its downside, which is - I am alone all the time. It can be endlessly boring being alone, sometimes I feel like I’m trapped in my own house. I think sometimes I have a serious case of cabin fever.

    What is cabin fever? Well according to wikipedia it means:

    Cabin fever is an idiomatic term for a claustrophobic reaction that takes place when a person or group is isolated and/or shut in, for an extended period. Symptoms include restlessness, irritability, forgetfulness, laughter, and excessive sleeping.[1] The word is also used humorously to indicate simple boredom from being home alone

  • How did you get your home based job?

    When people ask me where I work and I tell them I work at home, they always ask how I got my job. I tell them I answered a job posting for home based work, went to an interview and got hired. I realized that answer really isn’t quite helpful for someone who also wants to have a home based work. So here’s full story.
