Hi, I’m Kate Geronimo. I’m a Filipino web worker living in the Philippines. Other terms for web working would be telecommuting or working at home. So I work solely online, I don’t need to go to the office.

I’m currently employed as a Flash animator/programmer and I occasionally do freelance work as web/flash designer. I’ve been a web worker since May 2008.I started web working because when I went to several job interviews at the start of year 2008, I always got home stressed and just tired from all the commuting that I’ve been doing. Metro Manila traffic is just unbearable and I waste a lot of time waiting for buses, trains, jeeps and tricycles. When I realized I would be facing same unbearable things day in day out, I started to rethink my job applications and checked the internet if there was some way to work without the hassle of commuting. I found out that there are home based jobs available, so I sent my applications and got myself hired.

So that disdain for facing traffic daily lead to where I am now - a web worker. Its has been a good experience and I’m still learning a lot. Web working has it good and bad points like anything else but honestly I don’t want to go back to office based working. I don’t stress with the commute anymore. I have more time for personal projects. I’m also in my 20’s and legally single but happily in a relationship,so web working allows me to have more time to spend with my love ones and play with my 3 very energitic dogs named Bogart, Tok and Spotlight.

So mostly I’ll be blogging about things that I learned from working online, about web designing and flash designing and other topic of interests. So feel free to drop me a line anytime.
